Center for Development of Social Services

In addition to providing funds to around 421 institutions in the country, the INFAQ Foundation decided in 2001 to undertake its own flagship project to develop a township of social services at its 72 acres of land in Korangi. These projects are managed by a separate legal entity by the name of the Center for Development of Social Services (CDSS). Our first project is Korangi Academy (KA): to provide schooling for children from families living below the breadline but who have a high IQ and potential for the highest level of educational development as well as professional leadership. Other projects which have come up include a Vocational Training Center (in collaboration with SOS), INFAQ Education & Training Centre (IETC) and INFAQ Craft Training and Literacy Centre (ICTLC) for income generation and adult literacy for women
